Job Description
The purpose of the Sales Consultant, internally known as a Home Loan Consultant, is to acquire home loan leads from estate agents and other lead sources, and convert these opportunities into approved home loans in order to achieve required sales targets.
The consultant is also responsible for cross selling relevant ooba Group products and services where appropriate. In doing so, they build and strengthen relationships with both new and existing partners, while actively identifying and developing new sources of leads.
Through consistent engagement with partners and a strong focus on conversion, the consultant contributes to improving and growing ooba’s overall home loan production results.
- Achieve monthly, quarterly and annual targets by growing leads from existing agency partners and securing new partnerships to expand and sustain the lead provider base.
- Represent ooba Home Loans at regional customer conferences, agency meetings and industry networking events.
- Maintain a visible and active presence in the marketplace and local community, representing the ooba Home Loans brand professionally.
- Deliver product and service presentations across relevant channels to strengthen relationships and grow the lead pipeline.
- Attend agency meetings to brief and upskill agents on new products and value added services, and host agent appreciation engagements.
- Support and drive the adoption of new product sales initiatives as they are introduced by the ooba Group.
Requirements:
- Grade 12
- Previous banking (home loans) and/or real estate experience
- Proven track record of outstanding sales performance
- Passionate about sales and sales processes
- Strong relationship management and interpersonal skills
- Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written)
- Strong networking skills
- A solid computer literacy level with experience in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook as well as technical savvy with a focus on maximizing exposure on social media platforms
- Have own transport and cell phone
- Be able to work in line with a hybrid model - must have a suitable home based work space
