Job Location: Statesville ReStore - Statesville, NC 28625
Position Type: Part-time, Non-Exempt
Job Shift: Rotating - Sunday through SaturdaySales Associate – Statesville, NC ReStore
Part Time (25 hours per week): Weekdays, weekends, and some holidays
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Pay Rate: $17.75 per hour

The Sales Associate at Habitat Charlotte Region is responsible for providing exceptional customer service and supporting the sales team in achieving sales targets. This role involves engaging with customers, understanding their needs, and offering suitable solutions to enhance their shopping experience. The Sales Associate plays a crucial part in promoting the organization’s mission and contributing to the overall success of the ReStore.

Work Environment
This position operates in a retail environment that may require standing for extended periods and occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds. The role may require weekend availability and flexibility to meet store needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and ascertain their needs to provide assistance and information on product features.
- Maintain a high level of product knowledge to effectively communicate benefits and features to customers.
- Assist in achieving sales goals by actively promoting products and upselling when appropriate.
- Ensure the sales floor is well-organized, clean, and visually appealing to enhance the customer shopping experience.
- Process transactions accurately and efficiently using the point-of-sale system.
- Handle customer inquiries and complaints professionally, providing solutions and escalating issues when necessary.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve store goals and maintain a positive, mission-driven work environment.
- Participate in inventory management, including restocking shelves and conducting inventory counts.
- Support promotional activities and special events to drive customer engagement and sales.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with all safety and security standards.

QualificationsRequired Experience
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a sales or customer service role
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
- Experience in a retail environment is highly desirable
