Founding Sales Associate — Part-Time

BODYBAR Pilates South Lakeland | Lakeside Village, Lakeland, FL

A part-time role with a big part to play.

BODYBAR Pilates is coming to South Lakeland, and we’re looking for friendly, motivated people to join our part-time founding sales team!

Help introduce a new studio to the neighborhood, connect people with a workout they’ll love, and welcome our very first members. You’ll bring the energy—we’ll provide training, coaching, and plenty of reasons to celebrate.

Who We’re Looking For

We’re looking for a Part-Time Sales Associate who loves people, takes initiative, and enjoys working toward a goal.

You’re comfortable introducing yourself, making phone calls, listening to what someone needs, and helping them choose their next step. You show up ready to contribute and follow through on the conversations you start.

Previous Pilates experience isn’t required. Experience in sales, retail, hospitality, or customer service is a plus.

Position: Part-time

Reports to: Studio Manager

What You’ll Be Doing

Before we open, you’ll help create excitement and grow our founding membership community:

• Introduce BODYBAR at neighborhood businesses, community events, and local pop-ups.
• Follow up with interested prospects by phone, text, and email.
• Learn each prospect’s goals, explain membership options, and confidently invite them to join.
• Work toward clear outreach, follow-up, booking, and sales goals during your shifts.
• Keep accurate notes so teammates can continue each conversation.
• Support community activities, pre-opening events, and team training.

Once we open, you’ll help make every visit count:

• Greet members warmly and help first-time guests feel at ease.
• Work with instructors to support a smooth experience before and after class.
• Talk with guests about their experience and recommend memberships that fit their goals.
• Assist with bookings, account questions, retail purchases, and available studio services.
• Celebrate milestones, encourage referrals, and help with local events.
• Keep reception, retail displays, and studio spaces clean and ready for guests.

What You’ll Need to Succeed

• Friendly, confident communication in person, by phone, and in writing
• Willingness to make outbound calls and ask for the sale
• A positive, goal-oriented attitude
• Reliability, punctuality, and consistent follow-through
• Openness to coaching, feedback, and practicing new skills
• Interest in fitness, wellness, and community
• Comfort learning scheduling and sales software
• Consistent availability for agreed shifts, including some early mornings, evenings, and/or weekends
• High school diploma or equivalent

Your Founding-Team Schedule

During presale, shifts will include prospect follow-up, community outreach, events, and training. Some tasks may be coordinated remotely, alongside scheduled in-person activities.

Once the studio opens, this is an in-studio position with continued opportunities to participate in community events. We’ll discuss your availability and scheduling options during the interview process.

We’re looking for teammates who can support our launch and continue with us after opening.
