Sales Associate

Wismettac Asian Foods, Inc. is looking for a motivated and personable Sales Associate to join our team! In this role, you’ll build and maintain relationships with customers, introduce them to our products, identify opportunities to grow the business, and provide exceptional service throughout the sales process.

The ideal candidate is fluent in Korean and able to communicate in English, enjoys working with people, and has a strong interest in sales and the food industry. Previous sales experience and/or knowledge of Asian foods, foodservice, grocery, or food distribution is highly preferred.

What You’ll Do

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective customers within your assigned territory.
• Visit customers and potential customers to provide product information, sales support, and solutions based on their needs.
• Sell and promote Wismettac products while working toward territory sales goals.
• Identify opportunities to grow existing accounts and develop new business.
• Build strong relationships with customers through regular communication and in-person visits.
• Introduce customers to new products, promotions, and services.
• Understand customer needs and recommend appropriate products and solutions.
• Communicate customer feedback, market trends, and new business opportunities to management and appropriate departments.
• Work closely with the sales, warehouse, logistics, accounting, and management teams to support customer needs and sales objectives.
• Follow established sales plans, pricing guidelines, and management direction.
• Assist with accounts receivable collection efforts when needed.
• Maintain accurate customer and sales information in company systems.
• Complete sales activity reports and other required reports in a timely manner.
• Assist with territory sales planning and inventory activities.
• Attend quarterly inventory counts.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

What We’re Looking For

Required:

• High school diploma or GED.
• Fluent Korean communication skills.
• Basic to conversational English communication skills.
• Valid U.S. driver's license and ability to travel to customer locations.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Professional, friendly, and approachable personality.
• Ability to work independently while also being a strong team player.
• Ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Willingness and ability to learn company systems, including Oracle ERP.

Highly Preferred:

• Previous sales or customer-facing sales experience.
• Experience or knowledge in the food, grocery, restaurant, foodservice, or Asian food industry.
• Existing knowledge of Asian food products and/or food distribution.
• Experience developing and maintaining customer relationships.
• Experience working toward sales goals or quotas.

Travel & Working Environment

This position requires regular travel to customer locations within the assigned territory. Depending on the territory, some overnight travel may be required.

Sales Associates may work more than 40 hours per week based on business needs and customer schedules. The position may also require extended periods of standing and walking and occasionally handling or carrying product samples weighing up to 50 pounds.
