What you'll do:

The Inside Sales Associate sells appliances to BSI, Inc. customers - homeowners, builders, and multi-family developers - across apartment replacement, retail, and builder segments of the business and supports the business by achieving gross margin sales goals. This position is customer-facing and showroom-based, requiring strong product knowledge, professionalism, responsiveness, and follow-through. The Inside Sales Associate is expected to deliver exceptional customer experience in person, by phone, and through written communication, maintain strong working knowledge of product lines, pricing, availability, delivery, and installation practices; and help ensure the showroom is welcoming, organized, and sales ready. This role also requires effective coordination with customers, outside sales, warehouse, delivery, and other internal teams to support accurate order processing and successful project completion. The Inside Sales Associate will be available in office on the showroom floor from open to close.

We’re looking for a driven, customer-focused sales professional who thrives in a showroom environment and is passionate about helping customers find the right appliance solutions for their homes and projects. In this role, you will combine product expertise, relationship-building, and a high level of service to create an exceptional customer experience from first conversation through final delivery.

The ideal candidate is motivated to meet and exceed sales goals, confident in guiding customers through product selections, and skilled at identifying needs, recommending solutions, and closing sales. You enjoy educating customers on product features and benefits, explaining specifications and service expectations, and ensuring they feel informed and supported throughout the buying process.

You should be comfortable assisting customers in person, over the phone, and through email while delivering professional, responsive service at every touchpoint. Strong organizational skills are important, as this role involves preparing quotes, entering sales orders accurately, maintaining customer records, and proactively following orders from sale to delivery and resolution.

We’re also looking for someone who values teamwork and collaboration. This position works closely with warehouse, delivery, installation, and other internal teams to ensure a smooth customer experience and successful order completion. A proactive approach to generating new business through showroom traffic, inbound leads, outbound outreach, referrals, and relationship development is also key to success.

To excel in this role, you’ll need to maintain strong product knowledge across appliances and related services, including specifications, pricing, lead times, delivery, and installation practices. You’ll also help maintain a clean, organized, and sales-ready showroom environment and be available on the showroom floor as scheduled to support customers and daily operations.

  • Initiative in developing new sales opportunities and nurturing customer relationships
  • A commitment to maintaining a polished, welcoming, and sales-ready showroom
  • The flexibility to support showroom coverage and take on additional responsibilities as needed

Education and Work Experience

  • Bilingual Preferred
  • High school diploma/GED required. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Two years’ experience in an outbound call center, retail, or a related sales position in appliance whole distribution or transferal industry experience such as home improvement, building products, or other similar industries.
  • Maintain a valid driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Windows: Outlook, SharePoint, basic Word and Excel, internet usage; mobile devices. Familiar with Enterprise Resource Planning and Salesforce.
