Job Description

Schedule: Contingent (as needed)

No set shift - most hours will typically be in the evenings. Some mornings possible. Weekdays only.

Provides services for patients, families, visitors, and hospital staff. The Sales Associate greets every customer, determines each individual’s specific needs and fulfills those needs in a friendly, efficient manner. Essential Functions:

  • Operates cash register accurately and efficiently.
  • Resolves problems that arise with customers, physical plant or equipment and seeks an appropriate resolution.
  • Maintains a clean, safe environment for staff and visitors.
  • Answers phone calls, resolves questions, gives directions, and offers appropriate suggestions.
  • Makes priority setting decisions, performs stock replenishment, maintains storage and merchandise presentation.

Skills:

Effective customer services and interpersonal communication skills. Excellent mathematical abilities and problem-solving skills. Strong physical stamina and ability to work independently.


Experience:

Experience operating a cash register or computer is desired. Previous retail sales experience a plus.
