Do you love the buzz of a busy retail environment and enjoy helping customers find exactly what they're after? Turfrey Store is a growing, high-paced retail and ecommerce business, backed by our Hastings showroom, selling quality products from leading brands including Heating, Outdoor Living, Saunas, Water Tanks, Skylights, Appliances, Weber BBQs and more. We're on the hunt for a sales-minded, reliable Sales Assistant to join our Hastings team.

This role is a great fit for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, picks things up quickly, and brings proven sales experience. You'll split your time between in-store customer service and phone/email sales and enquiries, so a genuine love of talking to people and helping them find the right solution is a must.

What you'll be doing

• Serving customers in-store and helping them find the right products
• Handling phone/email sales and customer enquiries
• Restocking shelves and keeping the shop floor tidy and well presented
• Problem-solving and using our resources and systems to create the best outcome for every customer
• Supporting dispatch and logistics at busy times
• Pitching in wherever the team needs a hand, including helping lift and load bulkier items such as BBQs

What you'll bring

• Proven sales experience and a genuine passion for customer service
• The ability to work well as part of a team, but also use your own initiative and work independently
• A problem-solver's mindset, with the creativity to find the best outcome for the customer
• Physical fitness and comfort with lifting (BBQs and other bulky stock)
• Flexibility to work some weekends when required
