Opportunity

The primary responsibility of the Sales Assistant is to ensure a gracious experience for our clients, complete operational showroom tasks, and support the sales organization in achieving its goals.

This role works with our internal teams and interacts directly with clients in-person, by phone, and email. Success in this position includes client satisfaction, efficient execution of sales process tasks, timely completion of operational support tasks, and effectively modeling our company behavioral norms and brand standards. The ideal candidate will learn the end-to-end sales process and develop advanced client relationship skills with potential to advance into a sales role.

Essential Job Functions

Client-Facing Responsibilities

  • Act as a brand concierge and provide a warm welcome, leading brand introduction & showroom journey
  • Gracious qualifying of all clients (design trade, homeowners, other trades)
  • Field and direct customer inquiries via phones & email
  • Utilize Salesforce to document client interactions, including phone calls and quote requests.
  • Assist clients as needed on the selling floor
  • Support sales team with quote creation

Showroom Operations & Sales Support

  • Maintain sample inventory including order placement, tracking, and receiving
  • Maintain office supplies including hospitality items, wrap/pack materials, and marketing collateral
  • Assist in showroom merchandising displays and general upkeep, including light housekeeping
  • Provide administrative and coordination support for senior sales reps.
  • May support additional showroom locations virtually with tasks such as ordering supplies and samples

Product & Showroom Knowledge

  • Be a product and showroom floor expert to effectively assist clients.
  • Maintain working knowledge of product lines and engage in ongoing product knowledge upskilling.

Marketing & Client Engagement

  • Assist in preparation of product launches, client appointments, materials prep, follow up communications etc.
  • Operational and hosting support for execution of showroom events
  • Salesforce administration of Material Bank Leads, follow-up communications as directed

Skills/Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year of administrative experience and 2 years of retail sales (luxury preferred) or other client facing experience is required.
  • Relevant industry experience related to design, building materials, luxury sales, event coordination, or project management strongly preferred.
  • Coursework in interior design or business with a focus on administration or marketing is preferred but not required. Candidates with a variety of educational backgrounds and experiences are encouraged to apply.
  • Intermediate skills with MS Office suite or similar office products is required. Experience with Salesforce or a CRM program is preferred.

Other Skills & Attributes

  • A passion for interior design, architecture, fashion, or related creative fields is highly desired.
  • Candidates must possess demonstrated organizational skills and ability to manage time and tasks effectively.
  • Exemplary customer service skills in support of a luxury high-touch experience required.
  • Skills to collaborate, effectively communicate (written & verbal), and contribute to an inclusive and positive work environment required.

The hourly range for this position is $26.30 - $39.40. The specific hourly rate offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including candidate's education and work location.
