The Assistant Accountant - Sales is responsible for providing financial and commercial support to the Mobile Cranes Division through accurate sales administration, invoicing, reporting and analysis. The role supports the end-to-end sales process by ensuring timely invoicing, month-end reporting, commission administration and sales reporting while providing accurate financial information to assist business decision making. The position works closely with Sales and Commercial functions to maintain efficient business processes and support operational performance.

Manage sales invoicing and financial administration by:

• Managing the end-to-end customer invoicing process, ensuring invoices are prepared accurately, approved appropriately and issued within required timeframes.
• Reviewing sales documentation to ensure invoicing complies with contractual agreements
• Reconciling sales transactions and investigating invoicing discrepancies, ensuring issues are resolved promptly with relevant stakeholders.
• Providing accounting support and acting as the primary point of contact for sales enquiries.

Prepare sales and financial reporting by:

• Completing End of Month reporting activities, ensuring reports are prepared accurately and within required timeframes
• Developing and maintaining reporting tools, dashboards and reporting templates to improve visibility of business performance.
• Maintain accurate reporting records.

Support commission administration by:

• Calculate and validate sales commission information.
• Assisting with the preparation and processing of sales commissions, including providing backup support during peak periods.
• Investigate commission discrepancies.
• Maintaining accurate commission records and supporting documentation.

• Develop & maintain project document management system & filing structure

Stakeholder management; adequately and proactively inform internal and external stakeholders of shipment and delivery status

Active involvement in the continuous improvement of the sales and delivery process

Personal (i.e. individual’s) health and safety performance and behaviour and that your acts or omissions do not adversely affect the health and safety of others

Compliance with Quality Assurance (QA) and Health Safety and Environmental (HSE) Policy and Procedures.

Alerting the organisation of potential or known problems that affect the quality of LAS products and services

Initiate recommendations for improvement of the organisation’s policies and processes
