Supporting a specialist retail business with expert customer service
Our client, TGS Outdoors Ltd, is a well-established retailer within the shooting and country sports sector, offering a wide range of firearms, clothing, accessories and related products.
Due to continued growth, they are now seeking a motivated and customer-focused Sales Assistant to join the team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with retail and customer service experience who enjoys working within a specialist environment and delivering a high standard of service.
Sales Assistant, the role:
• Selling within the retail shop, including clothing, accessories and shooting products
• Providing knowledgeable and unbiased product advice to customers
• Handling customer enquiries in person, via telephone and email
• Supporting the booking of firearms into registers for sale, storage and repair
• Delivering a high level of customer service at all times
• Working collaboratively within a close-knit team environment
• Supporting the wider operation of the shop as required
Sales Assistant, the person:
• Previous retail sales or customer service experience
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Confident working directly with customers in a retail environment
• Able to work both independently and as part of a team
• Good organisational skills and attention to detail
• Flexible approach to working hours, including Saturdays
Desirable:
• Knowledge or interest in shooting, country sports or related products
• Previous experience within a specialist retail environment
