At Gills Point S, we believe great customer service starts with knowledgeable team members who can build trust, solve problems, and recommend the right solutions. We're looking for a Sales & Service Technician who enjoys working directly with customers while also getting hands-on in the shop.

This is a unique role that combines customer service, sales, and automotive service. You'll inspect vehicles, perform tire and preventative maintenance services, educate customers on their vehicle's needs, and recommend products and services that improve safety and performance. What You'll Do

Sales & Customer Service

· Welcome customers and build lasting relationships through outstanding service.

· Listen to customer concerns and recommend tires, maintenance, and repair services based on their vehicle's needs.

· Educate customers on tire options, preventative maintenance, and manufacturer recommendations.

· Prepare estimates and confidently present service recommendations.

· Help customers make informed purchasing decisions while delivering an exceptional experience.

· Support store sales goals by identifying opportunities to add value through honest, solution-based recommendations.

Hands-On Automotive Service

· Mount, balance, rotate, repair, and replace passenger and light truck tires.

· Perform oil changes, fluid exchanges, and preventative maintenance services.

· Conduct vehicle inspections and identify tire, brake, suspension, steering, and other maintenance concerns.

· Replace filters, wiper blades, bulbs, batteries, and other routine service items.

· Assist with maintaining a clean, organized, and safe shop environment.

Teamwork & Operations

· Work closely with fellow technicians to ensure efficient workflow.

· Help maintain inventory and merchandise displays.

· Complete repair orders and accurately document services performed.

· Deliver the high-quality workmanship and customer service that Gills Point S is known for.

Requirements

What We're Looking For

· Automotive, tire, retail sales, or customer service experience preferred.

· Comfortable talking with customers and recommending products and services.

· Experience performing tire services, oil changes, and preventative maintenance.

· Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to continue learning.

· Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.

· Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.

· Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and a team-first mentality.

Physical Requirements: This position requires frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, lifting up to 75 pounds, and safely operating shop equipment while working in a fast-paced environment. Candidates must be able to perform work both inside the shop and outdoors in varying weather conditions while following all company safety policies.
