About the Role

The Walmart & Sam’s Club Sales & Forecast Analyst provides critical analytical support to the Walmart and Sam’s Club Sales teams, helping drive Flora Food Group’s growth mission through data-driven insights, forecasting excellence, and customer-focused recommendations.

This role is responsible for developing and maintaining weekly and monthly business reporting, analyzing sales performance and market trends, and transforming data into actionable insights that support business growth. The Sales Analyst will partner closely with Sales, Supply Chain, Category Management, and Marketing teams to identify opportunities, improve forecasting accuracy, and support fact-based selling stories for our retail customers.

The ideal candidate is highly analytical, organized, curious, and passionate about turning data into meaningful business recommendations.

Key Responsibilities

Sales Analytics & Business Insights

  • Develop and maintain weekly and monthly sales reports, business recaps, and performance analyses.
  • Analyze sales trends, customer performance, category data, and shopper insights to identify growth opportunities.
  • Translate complex data into clear, compelling selling stories and recommendations for Walmart and Sam’s Club customers.
  • Provide actionable insights to support customer meetings, business reviews, and sales strategies.
  • Support ad hoc reporting and analytical requests from Sales leadership.

Forecasting & Supply Planning

  • Manage the forecasting process for Walmart and Sam’s Club businesses, ensuring accuracy and timely completion of internal deadlines.
  • Enter and maintain forecasts within Flora’s systems.
  • Analyze forecast accuracy by comparing POS trends, demand forecasts, and Walmart supply plans.
  • Identify forecast gaps, risks, and opportunities and provide recommendations to improve performance.
  • Partner with Sales and Supply Chain teams to support inventory availability and customer service goals.

Customer & Market Analytics

  • Utilize multiple data platforms, including:
    • Flora's internal reporting systems
    • NielsenIQ
    • Circana (IRI)
    • Walmart Retail Link
    • Walmart Scintilla
    • Shopper and customer databases
  • Monitor category performance, consumer trends, and competitive activity.
  • Support customer promotional planning through analysis of performance, opportunities, and recommendations.
  • Assist in preparing data-driven presentations for Walmart and Sam’s Club business meetings.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with Sales, Supply Chain, Marketing, and Category teams on business initiatives.
  • Prioritize multiple projects while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Communicate insights and recommendations clearly to internal stakeholders.
  • Support leadership with timely analysis and business updates.

Qualifications & Experience

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Analytics, Marketing, Finance, Supply Chain, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 1+ years of analytical experience in sales analytics, category management, forecasting, supply chain, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and identify business opportunities.
  • Ability to simplify complex information and communicate insights effectively.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and meet deadlines.

Preferred

  • Experience supporting Walmart or Sam’s Club businesses.
  • Familiarity with:
    • Walmart Retail Link
    • Walmart Scintilla
    • NielsenIQ
    • Circana (IRI)
    • Customer-specific analytics platforms
  • Experience within Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG), retail, or food industries.
  • Understanding of sales forecasting, POS trends, inventory management, and promotional analysis.
