Job Description

One of the nation's largest and most dynamic nonprofit organizations is currently seeking a Sales Account Manager to develop and maintain strong relationships with institutional clients, consortia, and key partnerships. This role focuses on subscription sales, licensing agreements, and revenue growth for our portfolio of journals, standards, books, and data products.

Responsibilities include:

  • Manage and grow accounts across corporate, government, and academic sectors through direct and indirect sales.
  • Pursue new business opportunities and implement strategic sales initiatives.
  • Develop and deliver sales proposals tailored to client requirements, ensuring accuracy, and alignment with organizational objectives.
  • Manage negotiations for subscription renewals, site licenses, and transformative agreements.
  • Represent ASCE at industry events and conferences.
  • Collaborate with marketing and editorial teams to align offerings with market needs.
  • Serve as primary liaison between clients and internal departments to facilitate accurate fulfillment, address service issues, and uphold the highest standards of client satisfaction.
  • Plan and perform outreach and direct contact with customers including training.

The preferred candidate will have:

  • Four-year degree or equivalent work experience
  • 5 years' experience in institutional subscriptions sales, or related B2B experience, is preferred.
  • Demonstrated success in consultative sales, proposal preparation, closing, follow-through, and client advocacy.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce, association management systems, and e-publishing platforms.
