Reporting to the Regional Sales Manager, the Sales Account Manager is a field-based, commercially driven role responsible for selling the full range of Videojet coding and marking equipment to customers within the consumer-packaged goods, pharmaceutical, medical device, and industrial goods industries across the Bristol & South Wales territory. This role combines a strong emphasis on new business development with the management and growth of existing customer relationships. While the role operates remotely from a home base, it requires regular field presence and travel within the assigned territory, with end-to-end travel typically achievable within approximately three hours. The Sales Account Manager will have full ownership of the assigned territory, including proactive pipeline generation, customer engagement, onsite demonstrations, and consistent delivery against defined revenue targets.

In this role, a typical day will look like:

  • Secure and grow new equipment revenue within the Bristol & South Wales territory.

  • Develop existing customer relationships while actively identifying new opportunities.

  • Own the full sales cycle, from prospecting through to deal closure.

  • Conduct onsite equipment demonstrations and attend regional trade shows.

  • Promote service, finance, and maintenance agreements to customers.

  • Manage all sales activity using Salesforce CRM, including forecasting and reporting.

  • Plan territory activity to maximise customer engagement and efficiency.

The essential requirements of the job include

  • Proven experience in B2B sales and new business development

  • Strong commercial mindset with the ability to work autonomously.

  • Track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.

  • Confident communicator with excellent listening and customer engagement skills.

  • Strong IT capability, including CRM usage (Salesforce preferred) and Microsoft Excel/Word.

  • Self-motivated, resilient, and motivated by performance-based earnings.

  • Fluent in English.
