Job Description

Sales Account Manager

  • The position reports directly to the Director of Business Development & Marketing and Corporate Sales Manager.
  • The Sales Account Manager is the main point of communications for establishing recommendations, strategies, problem solving and direct knowledge of the customer and it’s market. This function must also relate the knowledge of The NARMCO Group’s systems, such as quotations, PCR’s and PPQR meetings into the end customer’s needs and requirements..
  • Assist the Business Unit Leader in establishing a short and long term business strategy, each October on an annual basis. Providing all information and knowledge relating to the end customer, programs and related market place conditions in order to establish a thorough report and strategy. Then to implement the approved business strategy for each customer.
  • Report and track all open items in each Open Issues Tracking meeting reported on a weekly basis, as well as the achievement and progress made on the business strategy while adhering to corporate policy and procedure. Ensure proper account representation for each of the End Customers. Create and monitor the yearly marketing and business strategy. The Strategy is to include business development goals, sales objectives, and customer benchmarks. Created for first quarter of the year and followed up each quarter afterwards to ensure goals and objectives are met.
  • Review and approve all Product Change Request Forms (PCR’s) for completeness and correctness. Review Quotation System (Open and Submitted) Charts for follow up and direction to the Business Unit.
  • Review all Request For Quote Packages (RFQ’s) with Estimating and Sales Account Manager to ensure proper attention and direction is given. Provide support for completed quotation packages to ensure Business Unit strategy is followed.
  • Review all quotes and pricing with the NARMCO Contracts and Audit Team for adherence to standards and guidelines directed by NARMCO Executive.
  • Prepare and lead all presentations to customers, using corporate and company literature, product samples, facility tours, additional staffing support (such as Engineering/Estimating staff) and other communication aids to ensure proper information and support is given to the end customer needs.
  • Provide the Corporate Managers in Estimating, Sales, Advance Business and Program Management departments with customer feedback on all issues, quotations and programs which could affect achievement of the business plan. Obtain feedback on quotations and market studies on an ongoing basis and provide recommendations to Business Unit Leader from this information to allow for marketing adjustments.
  • Ensure customer responsiveness requirements are known throughout the organization. Review all end customer requirements, documentation and account information on a regular basis to ensure all programs released have: • Been properly released into the system using a PCR • A program timing schedule is in place documenting key events and requirements (PPQR) along with customer related timing charts, schedules • Customer authority to proceed on file with a firm purchase order in place within 90 days of release • Been warranted for customer approval on the original agreed date, or that documentation with executive approval is in place altering that date

Education and Skills and Experience

    • A University or College graduate with emphasis in Administration, Marketing or Engineering.
    • A minimum of five years work experience in related field in stamping and assembly area.
    • Work experience must contain strong management, organizational, marketing, communication, program management, administrative and time management skills.
    • The ability to Understand technical aspects of stamping business, quality aspect of industry ( such as QS and Iso standards) and computer skills; including all office applications.
    • Proficient in multiple languages – Preferred, German, Japanese, Korean and Spanish.
