ABOUT SAINT LAURENT

Founded in 1961, Yves Saint Laurent was the first couture house to introduce the concept of luxury prêt-à-porter in a 1966 collection called ‘Rive Gauche’, synonymous with youth and freedom. This shift represented a first critical step in the modernization of fashion and revolutionized the socio- cultural landscape.
In 1999, the luxury goods division of the Kering Group acquired Yves Saint Laurent and, under the creative direction of Anthony Vaccarello since April
2016, continues to position the house at the summit of the luxury universe.
Today, Saint Laurent collections include women’s and men’s ready-to-wear, shoes, handbags, small leather goods, jewelry, scarves, ties and eyewear.

We are curr ent ly seeking a Wholesale Intern who will r eport to the VP of Wholesale as part of our dyn amic t eam in New York, New York.

ROLE

You will assist in managing reports, which include style selling on a weekly basis, daily sales reporting, weekly on-hand reporting, and door analysis by account. You will also track purchase orders and update shipping logs weekly.

MISSION

• Assist in market and showroom preparation
• May have entry-level account responsibility to include showroom presentation and order checking
• Manage all samples
• Demonstrate initiative by reviewing reports and highlight findings
• Visit stores to see product and competitive landscape
• Create competitive analysis reporting and client buy books

PROFILE

• Mandatory previous wholesale internship experience
• Strong excel skills – should know how to create and manage a pivot table and lookup formulas in addition having very sturdy basic excel knowledge
• Enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate school
• Exposure to sample tracking and return authorization processes are a plus
• Must have availability in the office minimum 2-3 days a week

The base compensation for this position is $17/hr.
