Fondée en 1961, Yves Saint Laurent a été la première maison de couture à lancer le concept du prêt-à-porter de luxe en créant, en 1966, la ligne ‘Rive Gauche’, synonyme de jeunesse et de liberté. Ce changement a représenté un premier pas crucial dans la modernisation de la mode et a révolutionné le paysage socio-culturel.
En 1999, la division luxe du Groupe Kering a acquis la maison Yves Saint Laurent et, sous la direction créative d’Anthony Vaccarello depuis avril 2016, continue à la positionner au sommet de l’univers du luxe.
Aujourd’hui, les collections Saint Laurent incluent le prêt-à-porter féminin et masculin, les chaussures, les sacs, la petite maroquinerie, les bijoux, les foulards, les cravates et les lunettes.
Reporting to the EMEA President, the EMEA General Merchandising Manager is responsible for defining and executing the regional merchandising strategy across Europe and the Middle East. This leadership role drives commercial performance, assortment optimization, inventory productivity, and sustainable growth while ensuring alignment with the Maison's global vision.
Develop and implement overall merchandising strategy across all EMEA markets in line with business objectives and brand priorities.
Identify business opportunities and risks, implementing action plans to optimize sell-through, stock productivity, and commercial performance.
Oversee assortment planning and merchandise allocation strategies across all Directly Operated Stores (DOS) within the region.
Foster a culture of performance, accountability, and talent development within the merchandising organization.
Define and drive merchandising plans, assortment strategies, and Open-to-Buy (OTB) frameworks to maximize sales, profitability, and inventory efficiency.
Prepare and present budgets, forecasts, and monthly business reviews with Headquarters and senior regional leadership.
Collaborate with Headquarters to provide market insights, client feedback, and recommendations on product categories, assortment, and purchasing decisions.
Contribute to pricing strategy discussions and competitive benchmarking to support brand positioning and profitability objectives
Drive an integrated vision of the product lifecycle, proactively reacting to sales trends, client demand, market dynamics, and inventory levels
Monitor inventory levels, replenishment activities, delivery performance, and stock optimization initiatives across all product categories.
Deliver regular business analyses and strategic recommendations to the EMEA President on sales performance, assortment productivity, inventory health, and key commercial trends.
Lead the regional merchandising team, providing strategic direction, coaching, and performance management.
Partner closely with Retail Directors and Country Managers to define seasonal buying strategies and achieve financial targets. As well as Client Engagement and Visual Merchandising teams to ensure consistency and effectiveness of commercial initiatives.
