Safety Training Representative

The Safety Training Representative is responsible for creating, implementing, scheduling, and maintaining all environmental and safety programs while remaining compliant with all applicable Health, Safety, and Environmental regulations. This position is also responsible for conducting inspections to ensure that all equipment and processes meet business and regulatory requirements while providing recommendations when gaps or deficiencies are identified. The position includes both traditional in-field QHSE duties as well as delivery of instructor led classroom training.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
▪ Responsible for ensuring the company meets all safety compliance standards set forth by local, state, and federal agencies
▪ Schedule job specific training for current and new employees in a timely manner
▪ Coordinates with department managers to ensure training initiatives, goals, schedules, and requirements are met and maintained within the Learning Management System (LMS)
▪ Provide instructor led classroom training as needed
▪ Identify and recommend additional training as needed
▪ Effectively communicate with other departments including, but not limited to HR, Operations and HSE, to ensure all training is properly planned and coordinated
▪ Maintains electronic and hard copy training records
▪ Assist in completing customer QHSE program questionnaires and attend customer audits
▪ Monitor, promote, and ensure compliance of QHSE regulations and encourage safe working practices
▪ Report, document, communicate and correct workplace hazards immediately
▪ Conducts onsite field audits to assess safety of the well site, employees work practices/habits and defects and/or conditions of equipment (i.e., compressed cylinders, electrical issues, defective parts, environmental issues, labeling etc.)
▪ Point of contact for emergency response notifications
▪ Ensure incidents are managed according to Company policies and best practices
▪ Assist in incident investigation processes, including Behavior Justification© to determine causal factor(s) and recommend corrective action(s) with management
▪ Facilitate medical treatment and drug screening for work related incidents using discretion and confidentiality
▪ Coordinate modified duty and return to work programs with appropriate departments
▪ Assist in the development and implementation of new/revised safety and operational policies/procedures
▪ Ability to work a flexible schedule such as days, nights, weekends, and holidays
▪ Travel 40-50%
▪ Other duties and projects as assigned

REQUIRED EDUCATION, QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
▪ High school diploma or GED equivalent; Bachelor’s degree preferred
▪ Relevant industry experience in oil and gas services preferred
▪ Possess or have the ability to obtain professional certifications such as OHST, ASP or CSP
▪ Minimum of two (2) plus years’ experience working in a QHSE Advisor role
▪ PEC/Safeland/ETC, H2S, and CPR/First Aid/AED Instructor certifications, or the ability to obtain
▪ In-depth knowledge of OSHA and other governmental agency requirements
▪ Extensive knowledge of safety equipment and standards related to the oil and gas industry
▪ Ability to demonstrate good judgment skills, follow instructions and work well with others
▪ High emphasis on safety for themselves and others including coworkers and third parties
▪ Excellent written and verbal communication skills
▪ Ability to meet time-sensitive deadlines including potential emergency response situations
▪ Protects and safeguards highly important and confidential documentation and information
COMPUTER
▪ Highly Skilled in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
▪ Skilled in QHSE Management Software
▪ Learning Management System (LMS) preferred

PRE-EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS
▪ Must complete and pass all required pre-employment screenings
