Job Description
Key Responsibilities
* Conduct daily site inspections and safety audits to identify hazards, unsafe conditions, and non-compliance with HSE regulations.
* Monitor and enforce compliance with company HSE policies, procedures, and safe working practices across all construction activities.
* Ensure all workers, subcontractors, and site personnel use appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and follow safety procedures.
* Conduct daily toolbox talks, safety briefings, and induction sessions for workers, subcontractors, and new employees.
* Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, prepare incident reports, and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
* Monitor high-risk activities including scaffolding, excavations, lifting operations, electrical works, formwork, and work at height to ensure compliance with safety standards.
* Ensure proper implementation of method statements, risk assessments, and permit-to-work systems.
* Maintain HSE documentation, including inspection reports, toolbox talk records, incident reports, and training records.
* Coordinate with site engineers, supervisors, and subcontractors to resolve safety issues and implement corrective actions.
* Ensure fire safety measures, emergency evacuation procedures, and first aid facilities are maintained and communicated on site.
* Monitor housekeeping, waste management, and environmental compliance to maintain a safe working environment.
* Prepare daily HSE reports and communicate safety observations and incidents to the Safety Engineer and site management.
* Support HSE training programs and promote safety awareness across the project.
* Ensure compliance with Saudi Civil Defense regulations, Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development (MHRSD) safety requirements, and company HSE policies.
Requirements
Education
* Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, or a related discipline.
Experience
* 3–5 years of experience as a Safety Supervisor in construction projects.
* Experience in large-scale commercial, retail, healthcare, residential, or mixed-use developments.
* Strong background in construction site safety, hazard identification, and HSE compliance.
Required Certifications
* NEBOSH International General Certificate (IGC) or OSHA 30-Hour Certification.
* Valid First Aid and CPR Certification.
Preferred Certifications
* IOSH Certification.
* Scaffold Inspector or Working at Height Certification.
* Familiarity with ISO 45001 Occupational Health & Safety Management Systems.
Language
* Good command of English.
* Arabic is an advantage.
Technical Skills
* Strong knowledge of HSE regulations, construction safety standards, and hazard identification.
* Ability to conduct safety inspections, risk assessments, and incident investigations.
* Familiarity with Saudi Civil Defense regulations and Ministry of Labor safety requirements.
* Knowledge of permit-to-work systems, PPE requirements, and emergency response procedures.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word and Excel).
