This role is responsible for the evaluation, development, coordination and leading of safety activities and implementing a comprehensive Safety, Health, and Loss Prevention Program. This position also identifies and drives ongoing efforts to continuously improve overall safety performance.

Responsibilities

  • Implement and maintain corporate safety policies and programs
  • Provide direction, support, and resources to site managers and supervisors to achieve facility safety goals
  • Conduct assessments, inspections and audits of worksite and facility
  • Facilitate training on safety for new employees, visitors, and contractors
  • Support accident investigations and address day-to-day safety related issues (questions, concerns, comments) from employees and contractors
  • Evaluate and purchase appropriate safety-related equipment for employees
  • Submits all required safety reports as necessary
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Safety Management or related discipline
  • 3+ years experience working in Safety or related area
  • Completion of 30 Hour OSHA training
  • Ability to travel and willing to work a flexible schedule – travel approx. 20%
  • Good oral and written communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Certified Safety Professional (CSP) preferred
