In this position...
The global Automotive Safety Office is responsible for establishing policies, strategies and providing independent oversight to ensure vehicle compliance, enhance real world safety and protect the corporate reputation.
You will be the Automotive Safety Office (ASO) lead for the Prevent Action Closure (PAC) process. The PAC process is a critical phase of Ford’s quality management framework, focused on identifying and implementing corrective and preventative actions. These actions are developed with the goal of ensuring the issues under investigation never happen again in the current process or similar processes across the company. In addition, you will also support various ‘prevent recurrence’ workstreams dedicated to enhancing product quality and customer satisfaction.
We are seeking a collaborative candidate who can partner effectively with Quality, Product Development, Manufacturing and Supplier Technical Assistance to refine the PAC process and ensure the PAC papers developed are complete, robust, and impactful.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering

• Experience in Automotive Safety, Product Development (PD), Supplier Technical Assistance (STA), Quality, and/or Manufacturing.
• Experience with 3L5W, G8D and PAC papers.
• FEDE experience with requirements: classification, assessment and evidence.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams.
• Strong basis of understanding of Ford’s processes (technology development, product development, design validation and verification, and vehicle operations).
• Positive problem-solving attitude and conflict resolution skills.
• Ability to collaborate and connect cross-functionally to implement transformative process improvements.
• Strong communication and cross-functional networking skills.
• Strong decision-making skills and resolve to raise issues to the right people at the right time.
• Global understanding of Ford’s processes and products for technical read-across.
• Familiarity with DFMEA’s and severity ratings, including the new rating tables.
• Ability to critically evaluate data to make key decisions.
• Strong desire to improve safety and drive safety culture throughout Ford.
• Desire to get hands on during fresh eyes reviews (FERs).

This position is a salary grade 6 and ranges from $72,480-121,440., This position is a salary grade 7 and ranges from $84,480-141,360., This position is a salary grade 8 and ranges from $96,720-162,120.
