Flow Control Group is seeking a knowledgeable, motivated individual to serve as Safety Specialist. This role is responsible for supporting the organization’s safety compliance programs by managing contractor safety compliance platforms, monitoring training compliance, and performing key administrative functions within the Safety Department. This role plays a critical part in ensuring consistent compliance across multiple brands and locations while supporting ongoing safety initiatives and projects.
The ideal candidate must have a strong background in third-party compliance platforms, along with effective organizational and communication skills. Experience supporting multi-site or multi-brand organizations, a general knowledge of OSHA and general industry safety requirements, and experience with learning management systems (LMS) are preferred.
Essential Functions
• Safety Compliance Platform Management:
◦ Manage and maintain multiple contractor safety prequalification platforms such as Avetta, ISNetworld, Veriforce, and others.
◦ Manage individual platforms' accounts for multiple FCG Brands.
◦ Monitor performance of all accounts, across platforms, and proactively address deficiencies, corrective actions, and scorecard gaps.
◦ Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external customers to resolve compliance issues and maintain approvals.
◦ Track renewal requirements, certifications, and documentation deadlines.
• Training & Compliance Monitoring:
◦ Monitor safety training reports to ensure compliance with corporate, regulatory, and customer requirements.
◦ Identify gaps in training completion and follow up with appropriate managers, leaders, and employees.
◦ Assist in preparing reports and metrics related to training compliance and safety performance.
• Administrative and Operational Support:
◦ Perform administrative duties as assigned
◦ Maintain organized records, fields, and documentation for audit purposes.
◦ Assist with scheduling, coordinating, and documenting safety activities and initiatives.
• Safety projects & Program Support:
◦ Support Safety Department projects and initiatives as assigned.
• Communication & Collaboration
◦ Communicate effectively with employees, supervisors, managers, and leaders at all levels of the organization.
◦ Provide timely guidance and support to multiple brands and locations regarding safety compliance and requirements.
◦ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on safety objectives and initiatives.
Qualifications
• Extensive experience managing contractor safety compliance platforms (Avetta, ISNetworld, Veriforce, or equivalent).
• Strong understanding of safety compliance processes and documentation requirements.
• Excellent organization skills and close attention to detail
• Strong administrative and data management skills
• Ability to manage and prioritize projects, needs, and deadlines across many different business units.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization.
