RaceTrac Company Overview

The Safety Specialist is responsible for collecting, analyzing, and reporting on safety data to support the company's safety initiatives. The Safety Specialist will work to develop safety training programs for employees at all levels of the organization. They will work closely with the corporate safety team, business stakeholders, regional operations managers, and store operations management to identify trends, areas for improvement, and best practices.

What You'll Do:

  • Direct oversite in OSHA record keeping and OSHA reporting for all lines of RaceTrac business.

  • Identify trends and areas for improvement in safety performance.

  • Address gaps and areas for improvement in safety performance.

  • Collect and analyze safety data, including incident reports, inspection results, and other relevant information.

  • Develop and maintain safety performance metrics and reporting tools.

  • Collaborate with the corporate safety team, regional managers, and store operations to support the development and implementation of data-driven safety initiatives.

  • Develop and deliver engaging safety training programs.

  • Ensure training materials align with company policies and regulatory requirements.

  • Promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement.

  • Develop and maintain safety training materials, including presentations, handouts, and other resources.

  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of safety training programs, making improvements as necessary.

  • Stay current on industry trends, best practices, and regulatory requirements related to safety.

  • Assist in the development and implementation of company-wide safety initiatives.

What We're Looking For:

  • 1+ years of experience in safety training, preferably in a retail environment.

  • Knowledge of local, state, and federal safety regulations.

  • Strong communication and presentation skills.

  • OSHA 30 Preferred
