Airgas is looking for a driven, relationship-focused Safety Sales Specialistresponsible for cultivating and advancing sales growthwith an emphasis on safety supplies within an assigned region.This role involves nurturing and maintainingstrong customer relationships, discovering and welcomingnew business opportunities, and providing technical expertise and guidanceto anticipate and supportcustomer goals.
Conduct thorough research to identify potential customers and generate new leads
Meet and advance sales goals for safety products and services.
Develop and execute strategic salesplans to identify, qualify, and partner with new customers within target industries.
Cultivate and maintain strong relationshipswith existing customers, understanding their evolving needs and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Conduct technical presentationsand product demonstrations to educate and support customers on the features, benefits, and applications of Airgas safety products.
Collaboratewith internal teams, including account managers, customer service, and technical support, to ensure seamless order fulfillment and build alignment on solutions.
Prepareand present accurate sales forecasts, reports, and pipeline updates to management.
Monitormarket trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to discover opportunities for product developmentor service enhancements
Facilitate agreement on pricing and contract termswith customers, adhering to company guidelines and profitability objectives.
Attend industry trade shows, conferences, and networking events to promote Airgas safety products and expand professional contacts
Build rapportand foster understanding to address customer inquiries effectively.
Collaboratewith internal teams to provide solutions that meet customer requirements.
Resolve customer inquiriesand concerns professionally.
Protect the confidentialityof sensitive information.
Present a professional image reflective of our company values.
Identify and align key customer stakeholders at all levels within targeted accounts to advance sustainable growth by welcoming new business accounts.
Establishes and maintains clear and consistent lines of communicationwith internal departments relative to new customer developments, successes, and opportunities to ensure a supportive transition.
Utilizes all available resources to help realize growth opportunities.
Required Qualification
At least 5+ years experience in welding industry or safety sales to be considered.
Must have reliable transportation to travel to customer sites.
Strong understanding of products and processes.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Ability to perform data entry in a computer and extract information on orders.
Ability to work independently and under some pressure to meet deadlines.
Must be able to work with a wide variety of people with different personalities and backgrounds.
Must be detail oriented.
Valid driver’s license and personal vehicle with insurance coverage as required by the company.
Ability to use tools, routinely lift 25 - 75 lb., climb, reach and perform various physical maneuvers to perform the essential duties of the job, with reasonable accommodation if necessary.
Must be able to operate in a drug-free workplace.
High school graduate or GED equivalent plus five (5) years industry experience.
Pay range: Base $92,000.00

Incentive pay:This position is eligible for incentive compensation in the following program: Monthly Commission
