
The Safety Program Professional is responsible for developing, implementing, maintaining, and continuously improving enterprise safety programs across the business. This role serves as the subject matter expert (SME) for one or more critical risk areas, including electrical safety, lockout/tagout (LOTO), fall protection, and crane operations. Collaborating with Operations, Human Resources, Risk Management, and Legal, this position ensures regulatory compliance, program consistency, and effective risk management across multiple states and business units. On a day-to-day basis, the individual will analyze unique, complex technical problems, lead program reviews, support incident investigations, and deliver strategic solutions where precedent may not exist.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Position Requirements (Work Experience, Skills, Licenses, etc.):
Demonstrated expertise or program-specific certifications in one or more critical risk areas (e.g., NCCCO, NFPA 70E, or Competent Person training in excavation, scaffolding, or fall protection).
Experience supporting safety initiatives across multi-state operations.
Demonstrated experience conducting regulatory compliance audits and detailed risk assessments.
Strong problem-solving capability with a track record of identifying and mitigating high-risk field hazards.
Education and Experience
Required:
Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field; or equivalent practical experience.
7 or more years of safety management experience within construction, industrial, utility, or manufacturing environments.
Desired:
Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH), Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM), or equivalent professional certification.

Hours:
This is an exempt position. Workdays are scheduled from Monday through Friday. Typically, work hours begin and end between 7:00 am and 5:00 pm as scheduled with the position's supervisor.

Competitive Wages:
$90,000 to $135,000 Annual Salary. Applicants please note that actual compensation is determined by several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to job-related skills, depth of experience, certifications, relevant education or training, and specific work location, among others. The offered wage or salary is only one aspect of an employee's total compensation.
