Job Description:
Level Up is looking for a
Safety Officer
who will be responsible for promoting a safe, compliant, and healthy workplace, particularly within a construction environment. The role will support the development and implementation of Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) programs, conduct site inspections and risk assessments, investigate incidents, facilitate safety training, and ensure compliance with applicable safety regulations and company standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• 
  Support the development, improvement, and implementation of company
  OHS policies, programs, and procedures
  .

• 
  Conduct regular workplace and construction site inspections to identify hazards, unsafe practices, and safety non-conformities.

• 
  Perform risk assessments and recommend appropriate preventive and corrective measures.

• 
  Promote a strong culture of health and safety across the organization.

• 
  Advise employees and management on safety-related concerns, procedures, and best practices.

• 
  Conduct and coordinate safety orientations, training, toolbox meetings, and awareness programs.

• 
  Ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and other safety equipment.

• 
  Immediately address or stop unsafe acts, practices, or processes that may pose risks to employees or operations.

• 
  Monitor compliance with applicable safety laws, regulations, and company policies.

• 
  Review and update safety policies and procedures based on regulatory requirements and operational needs.

• 
  Record, investigate, and analyze workplace incidents and accidents to determine causes and recommend preventive actions.

• 
  Prepare safety reports, incident documentation, and statistical reports for management.

• 
  Coordinate with relevant departments and project teams to ensure timely resolution of safety concerns.

Requirements

Qualifications:

• 
  Bachelor's degree in
  any 4-year course
  .

• 
  Extensive experience as a
  Safety Officer in the construction industry
  .

• 
  Strong knowledge of construction site safety protocols, regulations, and industry best practices.

• 
  COSH and BOSH certification is required.

• 
  Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• 
  Ability to conduct safety training, orientations, and presentations is an advantage.

• 
  Knowledge and proficiency in using safety equipment, tools, and inspection procedures.

• 
  Strong observation, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

• 
  Ability to work effectively in a construction site environment and enforce safety standards consistently.
