We are seeking a qualified and experienced Safety Officer to join our team on the NFE/S Project. The Safety Officer will be responsible for implementing, monitoring, and enforcing safety policies and procedures on site to ensure a safe working environment for all personnel. The ideal candidate must have prior Oil & Gas experience and a strong understanding of HSE regulations and best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
Implement and enforce health, safety, and environmental (HSE) policies and procedures in compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements.
Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
Monitor and enforce safe work practices across all project activities, including construction, mechanical, electrical, and piping operations.
Conduct safety inductions, toolbox talks, and training sessions for staff and subcontractors.
Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses, and prepare reports with recommendations to prevent recurrence.
Ensure all necessary safety documentation, permits (PTW), and records are maintained accurately.
Liaise with project management, supervisors, and regulatory authorities to ensure compliance with all safety standards.
Promote a culture of safety awareness and continuous improvement across the project team.
Qualifications & Experience:
Minimum Oil & Gas experience is mandatory.
Proven experience as a Safety Officer/HSE Officer in construction or EPC projects.
Knowledge of local and international HSE regulations and best practices.
Excellent communication, reporting, and leadership skills.
Relevant HSE certifications (NEBOSH, OSHA, or equivalent) are highly preferred.
