We are seeking a qualified and experienced Safety Officer to oversee and implement safety procedures at an oil and gas construction project site. The Safety Officer will be responsible for ensuring compliance with all safety standards, promoting a safe working environment, and minimizing workplace incidents.
Responsibilities:
Monitor and enforce compliance with safety regulations, policies, and procedures.
Conduct regular safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments.
Deliver toolbox talks and safety training sessions to site personnel.
Investigate incidents, accidents, and near-misses, preparing detailed reports with corrective actions.
Coordinate emergency drills and ensure readiness of emergency response plans.
Liaise with project management, site supervisors, and workforce on safety-related matters.
Maintain and update safety documentation and reports.
Requirements:
Minimum 5 years of experience as a Safety Officer in the Oil & Gas sector.
Prior experience with Qatar Energy projects is mandatory
Recognized HSE certification (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH, OSHA).
Excellent communication and leadership skills.
Strong understanding of local and international safety standards and practices.
