Safety Manager / Construction (HSE) Health, Safety and Environmental Manager

What you will enjoy doing*

• In this role you will provide safety support at the project site, with special focus on Commissioning activities
• You will provide effective leadership to a team of Safety Techs and plan their activities to support the project team’s goal to maintain a zero – zero safety performance
• You will attend daily meetings with the Commissioning and Constriction team members and provide necessary direction to he Field Safety personnel
• Further you will perform accident investigations including Root Cause Analyses of injuries, illnesses, and key incidents
• You will be required to review the work activity plan of the Site Safety Personnel, provide guidance and ensure all areas and activities are well covered
• You will be in charge to monitor contractors' safety programs, perform periodic HSE audits
• You will also lead sample safety inspections everyday, identify good practices and improvement opportunities. Report findings to site management and follow up at the same time to ensure timely conformance
• You will help develop and implement local safety training and campaigns to maintain a positive safety culture
• You should be able to implement and lead a strong Safety Observation program
• You should be willing to work majority of the working time in the field performing HSE inspections, observations, and help correct UA&UCs.

What makes you great

• You should have a bachelor’s or associate degree in a related HSE field. CSP or ASP will be preferred
• You must have at least (Twenty-five) 25 years of construction HSE site experience
• OSHA 30 hours training in construction is a mandatory requirement
• In addition, you should have good knowledge about applicable OSHA requirements,
• Must possess strong technical knowledge on HSE matters in construction. (Very Important). This included basic knowledge of Electrical Safety, Hazardous Energy Isolation program & basic idea about P&IDs
• You are expected to have a LEAD HSE / Site HSE Manager role at job sites for at least 10 years with at least 5 years of Lead HSE position in Large / Mega Projects
• Knowledge and experience of Commissioning Safety is necessary for this position
• Ability to impart training, lead HSE orientation are necessary skills
• You should be willing to work majority of the working time in the field performing HSE inspections, observations, and help correct UA&UCs.
