We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Safety Manager to lead and strengthen safety culture at Nolan's primary processing facility. Based in the Gympie/Sunshine Coast region, this role will be a key member of the site leadership team, partnering closely with the Site Manager and operational leaders to ensure the highest standards of workplace safety, compliance and risk management are embedded across the entire plant.
This is a critical leadership position where your influence will directly contribute to the safety, wellbeing and performance of our people in a fast-paced processing environment. Leading a team of up to three direct reports, you will drive continuous improvement initiatives and help shape a proactive safety culture across all areas of the operation.
As Safety Manager, you will lead the delivery of practical, high-impact safety strategies across Nolan's primary processing operation. Working closely with the Site Manager, site leadership team, supervisors and frontline employees, you will champion a proactive safety culture, ensure compliance with WHS requirements and drive continuous improvement through effective systems, coaching and visible leadership.
This is a highly visible and hands-on role that requires a regular presence across the plant. The position is expected to work approximately 9:00am to 5:00pm, providing oversight and support across the key components of both morning and afternoon shifts. Leading up to three direct reports, you will balance compliance, risk management and operational realities to deliver meaningful and sustainable safety outcomes.
You are an experienced safety professional with a strong background in food manufacturing, food production or other high-risk industrial environments. You are comfortable spending time on the floor, engaging with frontline teams and influencing leaders to create meaningful and lasting safety improvements.
You bring a practical approach to safety, strong legislative knowledge and the ability to build trusted relationships across all levels of the business. Most importantly, you are passionate about creating workplaces where people go home safe every day.
