Job Category: AdministrativeJuniper is Growing! We are seeking a Safety Manager to join our team for our South East, FL region. The ideal candidate will be located in the geographic area of Davie, West Palm Beach, Vero Beach, Melbourne, or Daytona Beach. The Safety Manager will play a critical role in promoting a culture of safety, compliance, and risk management across all operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement and maintain comprehensive safety policies and procedures in accordance with state and federal regulations, as well as company standards.
- Update and develop safety programs when needed or as assigned.
- Conduct regular safety training sessions for all employees including OSHA10/30 and First Aid/CPR, ensuring employees understand and adhere to safety requirements and understand expectations.
- Perform regular site inspections and audits to build relationships and identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions.
- Prepare safety reports detailing findings and follow-up actions.
- Partner with field leaders to ensure proper implementation.
- Investigate accidents and near-misses, conducting thorough root cause analyses to prevent recurrence. Maintain accurate records and documentation of all incidents.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and other applicable safety standards. Stay updated on changes in safety laws and regulations affecting the landscaping industry.
- Oversee the regular procurement, maintenance, and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and other safety equipment.
- Work closely in the field with team leaders, management and HR to promote a culture of safety and encourage employee participation in safety initiatives.
- Prepare and present safety performance reports to the Safety Department Director, highlighting key metrics and areas for improvement.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a safety role, preferably as a leader in the landscaping or construction industry.
- OSHA 10/30 Training Certification and other Safety certifications (CSP, CHST) desired.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, safety best practices, and risk management principles.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Ability to train and motivate employees at all levels required.
- Spanish speaking skills strongly desired.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to identifying and mitigating risks.
