Position TitleSafety Manager
Position Reports To:Safety Director or VP, HSES
TheSafety Managerwill provide safety leadershipfor a project siteas assigned by the Area Safety Manager This roleis responsible forleading all safety activities at the jobsite andensuring facilitycompliance with corporate safety standards, implementingsafety directives, improvingsafety performance through training and craft engagement in our safety philosophy.
Essential Functions
Worksclosely with Apache site-management and client safety and operations to ensure that expectations and activitiesremainin alignment.
Maintainscommunication with other site leadership about all aspects of safety compliance at the project-site and shareappropriate detailswith your direct supervisor.
Ensuresthat all safety related incidents are reportedimmediatelyto your supervisor andappropriate sitemanagement.
Maintainsand handleshighly confidential information.
Conductsor coordinatesworker training in areas such as safety rules and regulations, hazardous condition monitoring, and use of safety equipment.
Supportsthe Project Manager and their team by being involved in planning, scheduling, customer, andprojectmeetings.
Performssafety audits and inspect facilities, machinery, and safety equipment toidentifyand correct potential hazards, and to ensure safety regulation compliance.
Investigatesindustrial accidents, near-miss incidents, and occupational injuries todeterminecauses and work with project leadership to implement preventive measures and manage return-to-work activities.
Providestechnical advice, coaching, guidance, andmentoring toemployees on safety initiatives and necessary changes.
Ordersandmaintainsfacility safety inventory including supplies and equipment.
Managesother safety staff andholdthem accountable for daily, weekly, and monthly tasks.
Other duties as assigned.
EducationandExperience
5 years of experience in a Safety role within the construction industry, a related field or a degree in a related field.
CSP, or CHST preferred
OSHA 30

WorkingConditions/Physical Demands
Remainingin a stationary position, often standing, or sitting for prolonged periods.
Light work that includes moving objects up to50 pounds.
Working in hazardous conditions within ourcustomersfacilities.
Regional travel required
