4) Job Purpose

Ensure safe and compliant execution of water treatment and power plant O&M activities through field safety oversight, permit control, risk assessment, and incident prevention. Support legal compliance, contractor safety, emergency readiness, and continual EHS improvement across site operations.

5) Key Responsibilities

Monitor worksite compliance with EHS rules and safe work practices

PTW / Risk Review

Support PTW, JSA, method statements, and high-risk task controls

High risk activities – Assessment

& control measures

Conduct HRA Gemba walks/ site inspections; identify hazards and track actions at Velocity EHS and HRA Awareness through corporate guidelines

Incident Support

Report, investigate, and follow up incidents and near misses

Active Caring Safety 365

ACS 365 training & reporting via non EHS team and analysis of actions plan/follow up with project team

Emergency / Chemical Safety

Support drills, emergency readiness, and safe chemical handling

Isolation / High-Risk Work

Verify LOTO, confined space, work at height, lifting, and line-breaking controls

Training / Reporting

Deliver toolbox talks, maintain records, and issue EHS reports

6) EHS / Compliance Responsibilities

Chemical / Occupational Health

Monitor SDS, labeling, storage, exposure controls, and housekeeping

Audits / Improvement

Support audits, close actions, and promote lessons learned

7) Education, Experience & Certifications

Degree/Diploma in Electrical Engineering (preferred), Safety, Environmental Science, or related field

Experience

Min 5 -7 years in EHS within Water treatment plant (Preferred), Utilities, or power plants

Technical Knowledge

PTW, JSA, incident investigation, emergency response, chemical safety, confined space, work at height, LOTO

Preferred Certifications

NEBOSH, IOSH, OSHA-related training, First Aid, Fire Warden, incident investigation

Computer Skills

AI tools, MS Office and digital EHS reporting systems
