SAFETY ENGINEER (M/F/D)

Location Kaunas, Lithuania

YOUR TASKS

As our Safety Engineer, you will play a key role in creating and maintaining a safe, healthy, and environmentally responsible workplace. Working closely with managers and employees across the organization, you will help strengthen our safety culture while ensuring compliance with legal and corporate EHS requirements.

In this role, you will:

  • Drive continuous improvement of our Environmental, Health and Safety Management Systems and processes
  • Partner with superiors and employees to identify risks, implement preventive measures, and promote safe working practices
  • Lead safety training and awareness initiatives that engage employees at all levels
  • Monitor compliance with EHS legislation, internal standards, and ISO management systems
  • Support incident and accident investigations, identify root causes, and help implement effective corrective actions
  • Conduct workplace inspections and risk assessments to proactively improve safety performance
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external authorities on health, safety, and environmental matters
  • Represent the organization in community or industry safety groups and programs, maintain safety files and records in GPAIS system
  • Analyze safety performance and provide recommendations that contribute to a proactive, prevention-focused culture
  • Represent the company during regulatory inspections and build constructive relationships with local authorities
  • Own environmental reporting processes, ensuring accurate and timely reporting in line with local legislation and corporate standards


YOUR QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree (in environmental engineering would be an advantage);
  • Job related experience in production company – few years;
  • Occupational Safety and Health Specialist Certificate;
  • Very good English language skills (spoken and written);
  • Effective communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills;
  • Computer literacy (Microsoft Office programs).

Information regarding Base Salary

From 3200 to 3400 EUR (before withholding taxes) taking in consideration your current professional competence and work experience. Salary is reviewed at least once per year. Also, you will be entitled to the annual bonus, that depends on your results.
