Our customer, a large defence organisation, is seeking a Safety Engineer PII to support the ACP Ajax team.
Key Responsibilities
- Incident / Accident Investigation and Reporting.
- Hazard working / review groups.
- Safety case management and reporting.
- Authorship / peer review of technical (risk) reports.
- Deliverable: Management of Industry and Field Army raised issues / occurrences, including MySafety/DRACAS/JAMES.
- Deliverable: Carry out trend analysis of such events.
- Deliverable: Review against safety design target and Contractor Design Risk Assessments.
- Deliverable: Integrate into Hazard Log and attend / prepare for associated review groups.
- Provide evidence for Safety Case Report development.
- Generate Safety Assessments and peer review documents.
- Monitor mitigation plans including Modifications, Change Requests, Safety Notices and Limitations of Use.
- Support stakeholders by answering occurrence-related queries.
- Ensure BowTies accurately reflect event impacts.
Essential Skills
- Demonstrable engineering experience with Armoured Platforms (Land Environment).
- eCassandra / BowTieXP Practitioner.
- Systems Safety and Risk Management knowledge.
- Ablity to provide informed and accurate acquisition safety engineering advice and guidance, across the various Environment and Technical Themes
Desirable Skills
- Ajax specific experience.
Additional Information
- Required to visit Ajax user sites, GDUK sites (South Wales) and Abbey Wood.
- SC clearance required.
