Job Title: Safety Director

Location: New Albany, OH
Start Date: 3/31/2025
Type: Direct Hire (W2) - Full Benefits

Compensation:

  • Salary: $80,000-$90,000
  • Benefits: Vision, Medical, Dental, Life Insurance, and Retirement benefits

Schedule:

  • Hours: Monday - Friday | 07:00 - 15:00 (40 hours per week)

Project Scope:

The Safety Manager will oversee safety for mechanical operations and enforce safety protocols across various project sites. The primary focus will be on HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems, ensuring compliance with all safety regulations.

Certifications:

  • Required: OSHA 30-hour Construction certification

Experience:

  • 3-5 years of relevant field safety experience in construction, mechanical, or industrial projects.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Assist in implementing safety programs for fall protection, hazard communication, and other job site safety practices.
  • Conduct job site inspections for safety compliance, recommend corrective actions, and ensure implementation.
  • Create and maintain Site-Specific Safety Plans and Activity Hazard Analyses to ensure workplace safety.
  • Enforce compliance with OSHA, federal, state, and local regulations, as well as owner-specific requirements.
  • Develop and conduct safety training programs for employees.
  • Identify and address safety issues affecting employees or posing liability risks to the company.
  • Collaborate with Project Managers, Superintendents, Subcontractors, and Suppliers to maintain safety standards.
  • Conduct safety orientations for all employees and establish/manage a local branch safety committee.
  • Assist with OSHA audits as required.
  • Recognize hazardous situations and make independent judgments to ensure worker safety.

Skills:

  • Comprehensive knowledge of OSHA, DOT, EPA, and other state/federal safety regulations.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred but not required.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean motor vehicle record.
