Join our mission to create a safer, healthier, and more productive workplace as a Safety Coordinator (WHS) within the Safety Department of ALDI Stores, based in Prestons. This is a full-time 12-month fixed term contract position.

This role is integral to the efficient operation of the ALDI Safety Department. You will promote and drive a positive safety culture by supporting operational teams in managing health and safety risks within our Store and Warehouse Operations. Your work will directly impact the lives of our people, promoting a culture of safety that extends beyond the workplace.

What does the role look like?

  • Provide technical guidance and advice on health and safety matters by interpreting legislative requirements.
  • Conduct risk assessments, incident investigations, periodic audits and site visits, and develop Safe Work Procedures (SWPs) as directed.
  • Build strong relationships with key stakeholders through consultation, training, and development.
  • Respond to WHS incidents, actively manage your area of responsibility within the team by using initiative and suggesting ways of improving systems for greater efficiency.
  • Assist in the maintenance and periodic review of the WHS Management system, Safety Online and the Contractor Management System.
  • Analyse and report on safety data to monitor and review performance against WHS KPIs and targets.

Qualifications

  • Previous demonstrated experience in Work Health and Safety (WHS) required.
  • Strong understanding of WHS legislative requirements, standards and best practice, and a demonstrated ability to stay informed about changes.
  • Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills, including the ability to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated experience in Health and Safety Risk Assessment and incident investigation.
  • Relevant WHS qualifications (Certificate IV in WHS minimum).
  • Injury management experience, or a willingness to learn, highly regarded.

Remuneration

  • Transparent tiered salary range of $118,200 - $140,900 includingSuperannuation.
