Safety Coordinator
Department: Environment, Health, and Safety

FII USA, Inc., a Foxconn Technology Group Company, is seeking a Safety Coordinator to support day-to-day workplace safety activities and help maintain a safe and compliant manufacturing environment. Once a part of the team, you will work directly with employees and supervisors on the production floor to promote safe work practices, conduct routine inspections, support safety training, document incidents, and assist with corrective actions.
The Safety Coordinator will work closely with Safety leadership, Production, Engineering, Facilities, Human Resources, and Maintenance to identify workplace hazards, support regulatory compliance, and promote a proactive safety culture throughout the facility.
Responsibilities
- Support daily implementation of workplace safety policies, procedures, and programs.
- Conduct routine safety inspections of production, warehouse, and facility areas and document identified hazards.
- Monitor employee compliance with PPE requirements, safe work practices, and established safety procedures.
- Assist with incident, injury, and near-miss investigations, including gathering information, documenting findings, and tracking corrective actions.
- Support OSHA compliance activities and maintain required safety records and documentation.
- Coordinate and assist with new hire safety orientation and ongoing employee safety training.
- Provide employees with guidance and reminders regarding established safety procedures and expectations.
- Identify unsafe conditions or behaviors and communicate concerns to employees, supervisors, and Safety leadership.
- Assist supervisors and department leaders with hazard identification and implementation of corrective actions.
- Conduct basic ergonomic observations and assist with identifying opportunities to reduce workplace injury risks.
- Maintain safety inspection records, corrective action logs, training records, incident documentation, and other safety-related records.
- Track open safety concerns and corrective actions and follow up with responsible departments to ensure timely completion.
- Support emergency response activities, evacuation drills, safety committee meetings, and other facility safety initiatives.
- Assist with tracking and reporting safety metrics, including incidents, injuries, near misses, inspections, and corrective actions.
- Participate in daily floor walks and proactively identify potential safety concerns throughout manufacturing and warehouse operations.
- Support workers' compensation investigations and return-to-work activities as directed.
- Partner with Production, Engineering, Facilities, Human Resources, Maintenance, and other departments to support workplace safety initiatives.
- Escalate serious or recurring safety concerns to Safety leadership and appropriate management.
- Perform other safety-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Industrial Safety, Manufacturing, or a related field preferred.
- Previous experience in workplace safety, manufacturing, distribution, warehousing, logistics, or industrial operations preferred.
- Basic knowledge of workplace safety practices and OSHA General Industry regulations preferred.
- Experience conducting workplace inspections, safety observations, or incident documentation preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with employees, supervisors, and management.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to accurately complete and maintain safety documentation.
- Strong organizational and follow-up skills with the ability to manage multiple safety-related tasks and priorities.
- Comfortable working directly on the manufacturing and warehouse floor and addressing safety concerns with employees.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification preferred, or willingness to obtain after hire.
CPR/First Aid certification preferred, or willingness to obtain after hire.
Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and respond appropriately to changing operational needs.
Ability to stand and walk throughout the facility for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds.
