Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Security Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for participants of our Safe Exchange program while demonstrating professionalism and sensitivity to their unique situations.
A Day in the Life
This Security Officer position will oversee the safe and secure exchange of children between parents, acting as a neutral and supportive presence. Your attentiveness and respect for each family’s needs will help foster a safe environment where families feel valued and supported. You will also support the safety of our campus and well-being of all our residents and guests.
Schedule
Monday and Wednesday; 5pm-9pm
Friday; 4pm-8pm
Saturday; 10am-6pm
Sunday; 12pm-8pm
How This Position Contributes to Our Mission
• Supervise the safe exchange of children between family members, ensuring all interactions are conducted with care and professionalism.
• Document exchanges promptly and ensure all information is accurate.
• Protect the privacy of all family information in accordance with organizational and legal standards.
• Provide a safe and welcoming environment for children and families who utilize the Safe Exchange program.
Skills and Qualifications
• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Valid drivers license required.
• Willingness to gain knowledge in the field of domestic violence, with experience in this area being highly preferred.
• Requires extended amounts of standing and walking, with occasional lifting and carrying of young children.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills are crucial to effectively interact with families, colleagues, and other stakeholders.
