Job Description

This position provides administrative support for the safety and security functions of EAA, including, but not limited to, EAA’s security, safety and loss prevention programs. Duties may include issuance and maintenance of key FOBs and keys, supervision of security staff, monitoring of electronic security systems, preparation of events and maintenance of security documents and other data in either hard copy of electronic forms.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  1. Assist in the key and FOB management, including records, auditing and providing access upon request, per EAA policies.
  2. Maintain first aid supplies and equipment throughout EAA facilities.
  3. Responsible for working with the events team to support all events, including scheduling security staff as needed. This will include being the security lead at many EAA events
  4. Schedule security training sessions, both for security staff and EAA full time staff including annual First Aid/CPR/AED First Responder training.
  5. Maintains all safety and security database records and physical files.
  6. Provide assistance to the Events department and Maintenance department as requested during and in preparation for events.
  7. Schedule fire system maintenance and maintain all records.
  8. Under the guidance of the Manager of Safety & Security, participate in duties such as: Inspection, Incident Investigation, and Security Equipment Inventory.
  9. Schedule all general museum security staff.
  10. Lead EAA’s Safety Management System (SMS) initiatives, including maintaining audits and follow up post-audit with items needing attention.
  11. Lead communication efforts with other departments, including sending a weekly safety tip email.
  12. Manage Security staff service award program.
  13. Maintain record of employee safety shoe reimbursement program.
  14. Embraces and supports the EAA mission and performs safe practices in the workplace and aviation environment
  15. All other duties as assigned.

AirVenture:

  1. Partner with Human Resources to hire 400+ security staff.
  2. Manage security staff assignments and schedules, including direct supervision of seasonal office staff.
  3. Oversee all security staff on-boarding and off-boarding, including uniform and supply check in/out.
  4. Develop and lead training to all security staff.
  5. Maintain remote security location (Ollie’s/Annex) including office supplies, food/drink orders, and general cleanliness and organization.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5 years minimum administration/office management experience
  • Certified First Aid/CPR (EAA will provide)
  • Must be able to flex scheduling, to include nights and weekends
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with emphasis on written skills
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure
  • Recruiting/hiring experience
  • Ability to collaborate with others
  • Intermediate experience with Microsoft Office Suites

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5+ years security/safety experience
  • OSHA Certification
  • EAA/AirVenture Knowledge/Experience
