Job Duties

  • Develop, manage, and maintain environmental programs, permits, reports, and records, including ISO 14001, zero landfill, and sustainability initiatives.
  • Implement and monitor environmental compliance programs (air, wastewater, stormwater, emissions, hazardous waste) and conduct related training, audits, and regulatory research.
  • Oversee recycling programs, address plant environmental questions, and ensure continuous compliance with federal, state, and local requirements.
  • Support plant safety programs through incident investigations, audits, inspections, training, and OSHA reporting/log maintenance.
  • Assist with industrial hygiene monitoring, support related projects, represent the company externally, and perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 5-7 years' related experience
  • Bachelor degree (or related experience)
    • Non-degree considered if 12+ years of related experience along with a high school diploma or GED
  • Must have valid driving privileges
  • Occasional travel and overnight stays (0-5%)

Preferred Qualifications

  • A Bachelor degree including chemistry knowledge or adequate experience in environmental and/or safety.
  • Regulatory background is desired along with knowledge of environmental regulations and computer skills.
  • Experience in process operations in a commercial or manufacturing environment relating to environmental management, air emissions, wastewater treatment and hazardous waste disposal are necessary for this position.
  • Industrial Hygiene experience is desirable.
