We are actively seeking a Safety & Compliance Specialist at Hydroline, a Synergen company, in Bryan, Texas that would be responsible for promoting a strong safety culture while ensuring compliance with all applicable federal, state, local, and company safety regulations, including Department of Transportation (DOT) requirements.

This position is primarily field based, partnering with operations personnel to conduct safety observations, audits, coaching, and incident prevention activities while building positive working relationships throughout the organization.

Job duties include, but are not limited to:
  • Facilitate monthly safety meetings, new hire orientations, and required safety training courses
  • Attend customer contractor safety meetings and represent the company during customer safety assessments
  • Manage ISN and Veriforce compliance
  • Track driver scores and review safety events in fleet management software
  • Conduct routine job site visits throughout operating areas in Louisiana and Texas (company vehicle provided)
  • Conduct hazard hunts to increase workforce awareness
  • Conduct Job Safety Analysis (JSA) reviews
  • Audit field operations for compliance with company procedures and customer requirements
  • Conduct DOT compliance audits
  • Support incident investigations and continual development
  • Build trust with field employees through positive coaching and communication.
  • Facilitate and support the company’s Safety Committee to foster employee engagement.

A qualified applicant must posses the following knowledge, skills, and abilities:
  • 2+ years of experience in safety, compliance, or a related role in oil and gas operations, transportation, or construction
  • Strong organizational and administrative skills
  • Strong communication skills (Bi-lingual preferred)
  • Trainer certifications in First Aid/CPR, Forklift/Manlift, PEC (preferred)
  • OSHA 30 Hour Certification (preferred)
  • Valid driver’s license with the ability to travel to job sites and conduct field safety inspections

Physical Demands and Work Environment
While performing the duties of this position, the employee frequently is required to use hands or fingers; handle or feel objects, tools, or controls. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to high. Also includes consistently working outdoors in elements/weather. Work schedule varies according to demands of job assignments.
