Contract Type: Permanent

Working Hours: 37 hours per week

Worker Type: Hybrid Worker

Salary: Starting Salary is £36,363 (Level one) rising to £39,152 (Level four) (pro rata for part-time)

Location: Loxley House, Station Street, Nottingham, NG2 3NG

About the Role

We are recruiting two posts as we seek to expand the corporate safety function in the council. The posts will advise on health & safety matters to ensure the provision of workplaces, facilities and services which are safe and healthy for employees, users of City Council services and the general public. The posts will also assist and support the development of safety management systems and procedures for the Council.

About You

The ideal candidate will have:

  • In depth knowledge, understanding and awareness of current occupational health and safety legislation, its application and safe working practice.
  • In possession of NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent.
  • Proven experience as a health and safety professional in a wide variety of environments or 3 years post qualification experience
  • Experience of development of policies and procedures against health & safety legislation.
  • Experience of auditing against quality and safety standards.
  • Experience of investigative work, problem solving and developing / advising on remedial outcomes and solutions.
