Description

We are recruiting a Safeguarding Regional Trainer to support our site in delivering high standards of safeguarding and mandatory training across our South Region. You’ll play a key role in maintaining compliance, supporting effective service delivery and ensuring our teams have the knowledge and skills they need to provide high-quality Safeguarding care.

Working in response to changing service user needs, emerging safeguarding trends, legislation and organisational priorities, you’ll also support the delivery of new learning programmes as required, with training and development provided by Priory.

This role is remote based, with some travel. You’ll need to live within the South region, working closely with colleagues across the region, attending monthly team meetings in Leicester and occasionally travelling to Priory sites.

Please note : Internally this role is known as Safeguarding Regional Learning Partner, and this is what will be on your contract.

What you'll be doing

You’ll deliver safeguarding and domestic abuse training across our regions, helping colleagues maintain high standards of compliance and develop the knowledge and skills needed to provide safe, effective care.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering Level 3 and Level 4 Advanced Safeguarding training, alongside Domestic Abuse training, through virtual and face-to-face sessions.
  • Designing and delivering subject-specific webinars and updating training materials in line with legislation, guidance and Priory policies.
  • Use our Learning Management System (LMS) to track training completion, identify gaps and support sites to achieve Priory’s 90% compliance target.
  • Building strong relationships with site teams and regional stakeholders to support training delivery and improve compliance.
  • Monitoring attendance and training effectiveness, escalating non-attendance, safeguarding concerns and gaps in knowledge or understanding where required.
  • Produce accurate reports on training compliance forecasting, and attendance.
  • Adapting training to meet service needs, respond to participant feedback and reflect changing operational priorities.
  • Managing training administration effectively and working collaboratively with the wider Learning and Organisational Development (L&OD) team to address compliance challenges.
  • Keeping your knowledge up to date through continuous professional development and sharing best practice across the team.

What you'll bring to the role

You’ll have experience designing and delivering training, with a strong understanding of safeguarding adults and children and the ability to engage learners across virtual and face-to-face settings.

You’ll be confident managing your own workload, adapting training to meet regional needs and building effective relationships with colleagues across the business.

With strong organisational, communication and analytical skills, you’ll be able to:

  • Design and deliver engaging training sessions, workshops and webinars using a range of learning methods.
  • Develop and maintain training resources in line with legislation, guidance and organisational policies.
  • Use data to identify training needs, monitor compliance and plan effective learning sessions.
  • Build positive relationships with stakeholders at all levels, working collaboratively to improve training outcomes.
  • Manage competing priorities, work independently and adapt to changing business needs.

A teaching or training qualification and completion of Advanced Safeguarding Lead Training within the past two years would be desirable.

What we will give you in return

We want you to succeed at Priory and thrive in your role. You will be well supported with regular career conversations. We also offer full training and numerous pathways into leadership and qualified clinical positions to help you shape your career with us.
