We are currently seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Food and Beverage Attendants to join our dynamic team at The Sands Torquay. As a Food and Beverage Attendant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our guests' dining experiences are nothing short of exceptional. Your friendly demeanour, attention to detail, and passion for delivering exceptional service will be essential in creating lasting memories for our guests.

Responsibilities:

1. Provide exceptional customer service to all guests, ensuring they feel welcomed and valued throughout their dining experience.
2. Take food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently, using our point-of-sale system.
3. Deliver food and beverages promptly and professionally to guests' tables, ensuring correct presentation and adherence to quality standards.
4. Answer guests' questions about menu items, providing recommendations as needed, and catering to special dietary requests or restrictions.
5. Monitor guest satisfaction and respond promptly to any concerns or complaints, ensuring a positive resolution.
6. Clear and reset tables efficiently, maintaining a clean and organised dining area.
7. Assist with the setup and breakdown of dining areas for meal service, ensuring proper arrangement and attention to detail.
8. Collaborate with kitchen and bar staff to ensure smooth and timely service.
9. Upsell food and beverage items and promote special offers to enhance the guest experience and increase revenue.
10. Follow all safety and hygiene standards, including proper food handling and sanitation practices.
11. Maintain a high level of knowledge about our food and beverage offerings, current promotions, and resort facilities to provide accurate information to guests.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in a similar Food and Beverage Attendant role or hospitality-related position is preferred.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills, with a friendly and approachable demeanour.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining composure and attention to detail.
• Strong multitasking and organisational skills.
• Team player attitude and willingness to collaborate with colleagues from various departments.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
• Basic math skills for processing payments accurately.
• Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards is an advantage.
• Passion for delivering exceptional service and creating memorable experiences for guests.
