Job Description

The S/4 HANA Transportation and Inventory Management Process Lead is a critical role in the successful implementation of SAP S/4HANA for end-to-end logistics processes. As a member of the IT project team, the Process Lead will bridge the gap between IT and business stakeholders, ensuring a seamless integration of S/4HANA with existing business processes and other applications. This role is responsible for designing, documenting, and blueprinting solutions for inventory, warehouse, and transportation management processes, with a strong focus on adopting clean core SAP functionalities and minimizing customizations. The scope includes the management of all materials and products across the logistics chain, from estates to mills to bulking to refineries and finally to customers, including storage within these locations.

• Process Design and Documentation:

  • Collaborate with business process subject-matter experts (SMEs) and owners to gather requirements, analyze existing processes, and design optimized inventory, warehouse, and transportation management processes within the S/4HANA framework.

  • Document end-to-end processes, including:

    • Inventory Management: Goods receipts, goods issues, stock transfers, physical inventory, valuation, and reporting.

    • Warehouse Management: Inbound and outbound processes, storage management, picking and packing, internal movements, and value-added services.

    • Transportation Management: Planning and execution of deliveries, carrier selection, route optimization, freight cost management, and shipment tracking.

  • Ensure alignment of documented processes with SAP best practices and industry standards.

• Solution Blueprinting:

  • Work closely with the S/4HANA functional team and other application teams (e.g., SAP EWM, SAP TM) to define the technical solution blueprint for inventory, warehouse, and transportation management processes.

  • Drive the adoption of clean core S/4HANA functionalities and prioritize requirements to minimize customizations.

  • Utilize SAP BTP or other side-by-side solutions for customizations when necessary, ensuring a well-integrated and maintainable solution.

  • Co-sign off on the solution blueprint, ensuring alignment with business requirements and technical feasibility.

• Integration Management:

  • Lead the integration of S/4HANA with existing weighbridge systems and other connected apps, ensuring seamless data exchange for inbound and outbound goods movements.

  • Define and document integration requirements, including data mapping, interfaces, and error handling procedures.

  • Oversee the development and testing of integration solutions, ensuring data integrity and system compatibility.

• Stakeholder Management:

  • Engage with business process SMEs and owners from various departments (e.g., logistics, procurement, production, sales) to obtain sign-off on process designs and solution blueprints.

  • Facilitate workshops and meetings to ensure alignment and understanding among all stakeholders.

  • Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, translating complex requirements into actionable solutions.

• Testing and Training:

  • Perform functional acceptance testing of inventory, warehouse, and transportation management processes in S/4HANA prior to user acceptance testing.

  • Develop comprehensive training materials for key users, covering both S/4HANA functionalities and associated business processes.

  • Conduct training sessions for key users to ensure a smooth transition to the new system and processes.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field.

• Certification in SAP S/4HANA MM-IM, EWM, or TM is highly desirable.

• 5+ years of experience in inventory management, warehouse operations, and transportation management in SAP implementation projects.

• Proven track record of leading process design and implementation initiatives.

• Experience in a consulting role is a plus.

• Deep understanding of inventory management, warehouse operations, and transportation management principles and best practices.

• Strong knowledge of SAP S/4HANA modules, including MM-IM, EWM, and TM.

• Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.

• Understanding of integration technologies and data migration strategies.

• Good at English both writing or speaking.
