POSITION:PK-3 ECCAT Aide
Washington District Elementary School - First Grade ECCAT, subject to change upon building need
IMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR: Principal
FLSA STATUS: Non-exempt
EMPLOYMENT TERM: 200 days annually, pursuant to WV Code§18A-4-8
SALARY: Pursuant to WV Code §18A-4-8a, in accordance with Upshur County Salary Scale; commensurate with experience and education level
EVALUATION: Performance in this position will be evaluated annually by the building principal per WV State Code §18A-2-12, WV State Board Policy 5314, and UCBOE's Guide to Performance Evaluation for Service Personnel.
The Aide works with the teacher(s) in a variety of ways to assist in implementing instructional strategies to enhance skill building for students in the classroom, the aide will work directly with children in small groups or on a one-on-one basis to establish effective relationships with students and to engage students to develop the knowledge needed to be successful in the classroom.

High School diploma or equivalent, as evidenced by Aide III/IV classification pursuant to WV Code §18A-2-5; Criminal background check conducted pursuant to WV Code §18-5-15c; Meet the definition of "Qualifications" in WV Code §18A-4-8b; demonstrated competency, pursuant to WV Code §18A-4-8e (state-approved competency test) as required. Must Possess or work towards obtaining ECCAT certification.
