POSITION TITLE: Aide VI – Behavioral Support Assistant Teacher, Itinerate, Countywide
LOCATION: Brooke County Schools –Wellsburg Primary School
Personnel who hold a High School diploma or a General Education Development certification and who have completed the requirements and experience for a behavioral support assistant teacher to be prescribed by the State Board of Education. No service personnel shall be entitled to receive the paygrade association with this classification unless he or she has applied for and been selected to fill a posted position which specifically requires the successful candidate to hold or be enrolled in and pursuing the requirements for the classification.
Reports to: Principal, designee or other assigned supervisor.
Job Goal: To provide a well-organized, smoothly functioning class environment in which students can take full advantage of the instructional program and available resource materials. To implement behavioral and instructional programming as outlined by a BCBA and/or Classroom Teacher; to assist staff with implementing behavior support plans and carryover of skills.
QUALIFICATIONS:
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB:
Term of employment:200 days
Salary: In accordance with the Brooke County Service Personnel Salary Schedule.
Evaluation: Performance of this job will be evaluated annually in accordance with provisions of the
Brooke County Board of Education Policy on Evaluation of Service Personnel.
Salary based on experience and education level per CBOE salary schedule plus competitive benefits
package equal to approximately 35% of direct compensation.
