Primary Objective of Position: Diagnose, inspect, adjust, and perform repairs on recreational vehicles (RV), in a timely manner and according to industry standards.

Key Areas of Responsibility

  • Manages and completes an assigned customer’s repair order, including the recording of time worked, documentation of cause/correction, and notifications of changes to the original repair order.
  • Performs a variety of repair and maintenance functions as assigned and listed on the customer’s repair order, including but not limited to repairs related to vehicle systems, living quarters, appliances, and components.
  • Completes new motor coach pre-delivery inspections as requested.
  • Maintains a current knowledge of how major systems and components operate in an RV
  • Collaborates closely with service center team members to assist in the diagnosis and repair of a customer’s RV as needed.
  • Takes responsibility for supporting other service center team responsibilities, including but not limited to providing service tech support at retail shows and dealer training events.
  • Participates in required field events, training events, and meetings.
  • Follows all company health and safety policies and reports immediately on the job unsafe acts, injuries, or illnesses.
  • Complies with the company’s Code of Conduct.
  • Completes other job duties as determined necessary by Newmar leaders.

Education & Experience

  • Degree related to mechanical repair, automotive technology, or construction desirable, but not required.
  • Previous RV service technician or extensive RV assembler experience required.
  • RV Tech-related certifications are helpful but not required
  • Knowledge of RV vehicle systems.
  • Prior technical work experience in electrical, plumbing, or carpentry is highly desired
  • Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record desired.
  • Access to RV repair tools.
