Performs non-technical or routine type maintenance duties. Assists with the repairs on a variety of equipment, machines and systems. These may include heating, cooling, plumbing, kitchen equipment, laundry equipment and electrical items used in the daily operations on the property. Assists with the installation of new equipment and parts as necessary. Completes maintenance and repair records as appropriate. Ensures that the premises are clean and orderly at all times. May also include some responsibilities for grounds keeping, custodial duties or any assigned task. Assists with the pumping of waste. Duties include but are not limited to:
Requirements
High School Diploma or GED Certificate.
1 year experience in one of the following areas: carpentry, electrical, building maintenance, plumbing, HVAC, laundry equipment repair or related experience.
Excellent organizational, verbal, interpersonal, and customer relation skills.
Basic computer skills.
Analytical/mathematic skills are essential.
Ability to read and comprehend written instructions.
Capable of handling multiple priorities and tasks.
Current and valid Oregon Drivers License, with the ability to qualify for the UIDC’s Drivers Program.
